Cordier Enjoy la Vie Chardonnay is grown in the western part of the Languedoc region, on the slopes of the foothills of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of around 150m, in a cool, perfectly-suited terroir. Clay-limestone soils and a high proportion of pebbles from the Pyrenees are what gives this wine its smooth quality.
Our Wonderful Chardonnay has a lovely colour with hints of gold and a fruity, mineral bouquet. The palate offers aromas of buttery pastries and toasted hazelnuts. To enjoy just the two of you, or with friends, over brunch, dinner, or whenever you fancy a drink.
This Chardonnay is partially matured in French oak for 6 months until it reaches perfect harmony between wine and oak. It is tasted throughout the process, to achieve just the right balance on the palate.
Preparation time : 25 minutes
Cooking time : 30 minutes
– 2 rolls puff pastry
– 4 tbsp tomato pesto
– 1 egg yolk
Spread the tomato pesto over one sheet of puff pastry, leaving a two-centimetre border uncovered around the edge.
Moisten the free edges of the pastry and place the second sheet on the top to cover the topping. Press the edges together to seal.
Place a small glass at the centre of the pastry. Use a knife to cut the sheet into quarters out from the centre, then cut each quarter in three and then each piece in half so that you have 24 rays.
Carefully twist each ray (making sure that the end of the ray does not come away from the centre of the tart). Twist all the rays in the same direction.
Dilute the egg yolk in a little water, then use a brush to spread it over the pastry.
Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve while still warm!
